Celebrate Ohio Tourism Month!

If you have submitted information to participate in the May 13 Ohio Tourism Celebration at the Statehouse, you should be hearing from our event coordinator, Jay Dascenzo, or a member of his staff. Dascenzo Creative has taken on the task of coordinating booths, arrival times and set up, etc. so watch for instructions coming to you soon. Group Tour First Tuesday Live Chat Series Starts May 6 at 10 a.m.

Group tour partners are invited to log into Travel Buzz in the Live Chat section the first Tuesday of every month to discuss various group tour topics with Celeste Krolak. NTA Adds Pittsburgh Road Show on June 9

The National Tour Association announced its fifth 2008 Road Show is set for this year's convention host city, Pittsburgh. The Road Show will be held June 9 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Omni William Penn hotel and begins with a lunch followed by a Q&A for current and prospective members to hear more about NTA events and programs. Participants can ask questions of their association peers and leaders. If you are interested in attending, contact Krista Browning at (800) 682-8886, ext. 4402.

Division Introduces Live Travel Buzz Chats April 15 and 24

April 15 (10 – 11 a.m.): Join Group Tour Marketing Specialist Celeste Krolak for the Division’s first live chat as we recap the benefits of targeting the African American travel market.

Positively Cleveland is hosting the African American Travel Conference April 8-10 in partnership with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum, House of Blues, Crowne Plaza, Lorain County Visitors Bureau, Warren County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Karamu House, Playhouse Square, Western Reserve Historical Society, Experience Columbus and the Ohio Tourism Division. Nineteen Ohio partners are participating in the conference to promote Ohio experiences to travel planners serving the African American community.

April 24 (10 a.m.): Join State Tourism Director Amir Eylon for a discussion on National Tourism Week. Find out what this annual nationwide initiative means to Ohio's tourism industry, what special activities the Ohio Tourism Division has planned and how you can participate.
