Several new enhancements to the Ohio Film Office’s Web site, www.DiscoverOhioFilm.com, make promoting Ohio’s film industry to potential production crews easier and we encourage our tourism industry partners to become familiar with the site. The Web site offers the opportunity for owners of Ohio businesses to upload their location photos so prospective production companies can look for a possible location for their project through a searchable database. Please note that locations and photos can only be listed by business owners who give their permission for production crews to use their property. The library provides possible producers with the ability to see Ohio sites online and offers options to search for various types of backgrounds via keyword or category.
The site offers free listings to qualified crew members currently residing in Ohio and to appropriate Ohio businesses and entities. By registering as a crew member or as a business with the Ohio Film Office, Ohio’s industry members gain statewide and national exposure. Producers are also able to search listings of Ohio’s talented and qualified crew members and businesses for consideration in any upcoming production projects in Ohio.
Finally, the site offers a wealth of information on the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit that was recently signed into law by Governor Strickland.
