On Tuesday, July 14, 2009, Governor Ted Strickland signed into law House Bill 150, which recognizes August as Ohio Military Family Month and honors Ohio’s military families. Ohio’s Tourism Industry does a great job offering military discounts and recognizing the sacrifices these brave soldiers and their families make to protect us, and the Division encourages Industry members to continue to keep up the great work.
You still have the opportunity to offer military discounts, show your appreciation and help these service men and women enjoy time with their families before they depart for duty and when they return on leave. Participating is free and easy:
• Login to your account at www.DiscoverOhio.com/industry
• Click “Edit” next to your listing
• Click on the “Coupons” tab
• Click “Add New Coupon”
Enter your special information here. In the “Coupon Name” field, enter the name for your special offer (Example: “Stay 1 Night, 2nd Night Half Off” or “Buy One, Get One Free”). In the “Discount Description” field, be sure to include the phrase “Military Family Promotion” to have your information displayed.
