More than 35,000 people were “Livin’ For the Weekend” in Cincinnati at the Macy’s Music Festival July 31 – Aug. 1 thanks to the Tourism Division’s multicultural marketing efforts. Ohio's own John Legend and The O'Jays heated up the stage on Friday and Saturday night, while newcomers Jazmine Sullivan and Robin Thicke were welcomed by thousands of fans. The music festival featured fun for all ages including headliners like American-Idol Alum Fantasia Barrino and Anita Baker on the stage.
Located on the club level of Paul Brown Stadium, the popular Ohio Lounge featured DJ Lincoln Ware and Assistant State Tourism Director Alicia Reece hosting from the JumboTron, raffle prizes from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, the Cleveland Indians, Hocking Hills and CincinnatiUSA.com; Livin’ for the Weekend Multicultural Guides; and a chance to meet with reality TV star Kwame Jackson from “The Apprentice.”
